Kristin got her 1st Christmas card. Grandma sent her a musical card, all the way from Hong Kong.

Rainy Days
Kristin stayed home from school today. Her fever has gone down a bit, and she seems to be coughing less which is good news. She saw our nanny come in this morning with her umbrella and started looking for her own. Of course the one we bought her has gone missing so I found one out of our closet and she started pretending it was raining.

Wow, can't believe she's going to be 4 months old already. It never ceases to amaze me how fast children grow. Can you believe she went from this:

Sick again.
Kristin is sick again, this time with a mild case of bronchitis. She started coughing on Saturday, and it got progressively worse. This morning her temperature was OK, and when I picked her up from school I figured I'd call Kaiser to get some advice on what cough medicine I should give her. Based on the information I provided them, they suggested I bring her in. Her temperature was 102.8 when they checked. They gave her some Tylenol, and prescribed some antibiotics just in case it was a bacterial infection. Poor thing, the only thing that seemed to make her feel better was her comfort blanket 'ba'ba'. She's always sniffing one of the corners.

Future photographer?
Kristin loves using my camera to take pictures. She knows how to look through the viewfinder and which button is the shutter release. I'm surprised she can hold it up to her face, the camera/lens combo must weigh at least a couple lbs.
She even chimps like a pro.

We were talking to Kristin about the different seasons during lunch today, and how she wishes it was summer so she could go swimming. I told her she could go swimming in our bathtub since we usually give her baths in a much smaller tub. She had such a blast.

Lately, after taking her bath, Kristin always asks to put on a dress. Keep in mind, we're not going out or anything, she just wants to wear a dress at home. Of course, she had to wear her new shoes too. HUGE FEET WARNING:

I've been taking big K to Starbucks every Friday after school for hot chocolate and cookies. Sure I could probably make the hot chocolate at home, but it's nice spending a little one on one time with her. Well, today I got her a huge snowman cookie instead of the usual madeleine cookies. I told her she could have a few bites and save the rest for after dinner. She carefully gnawed off a tiny bit off the bottom, and reluctantly put the remainder of the cookie back in the bag.
It was great motivation for her to eat her dinner.
You could tell it wasn't her favorite dish, but she still ate away like a champ knowing what was waiting for her after she finished.
