Graduate

Kristin will be starting kindergarten in August, and her preschool had a graduation party for all the kids in her class. I still can't get over how fast time has gone by. I recall the times when I used to pick her up from school and she would come running to me, excited and happy I wast there to 'rescue' her from school. Nowadays, it's the complete opposite. When I pick her up now, she runs away, hoping to be able to play for a few minutes longer before heading home. I'm both happy and sad about the whole thing...........happy to know that she is ready for school, and has completed a short chapter in her life, and sad that she is growing so fast. Next thing you know she will be graduating from high school, and then college.

She looks so cheesy in this picture.

Someday this little rugrat is going to have her own graduation.

I think her gown was a 'little' too big for her.

Breakfast of Champions

Getting Kristin to eat breakfast is like pulling teeth. I guess the same could be said about dinner time. Kristin can sit there blabbering about nonsense for 15 minutes without taking a bite of her food. Kayla is not as bad, and when she is hungry, she concentrates on her food and keeps eating non stop without ever looking up. It’s funny how the 2 can be so different.

Kristin got her hair cut earlier this week. She looks about a year younger now. Advise to all you parents out there, unless you are a barber, I suggest leaving it up the professionals. I feel embarrassed to say, but I had cut her hair a few times when she was younger. I learned my lesson and now we just bring her to the barber. It's a win/win situation.

Happy Fathers Day

It truly is a happy day for me, not only to be blessed with two wonderful children, but also because of this: Article

Words can't express the amount of joy and happiness these two little rug-rats have brought to my life. The sleepless nights, the temper tantrums, the diaper changes, are all forgotten, replaced with little hugs, little kisses, and "I love you Daddy".

Happy Fathers Day to all the dad's out there.

Don't play with your food

Often times I get asked "How do you come up with these crazy ideas?" Well, first of all, it's the kids. They always come up with the funniest things. This shot was inspired by the toy drum, and since we were having chicken for dinner, the idea started developing. I don't always draw out my ideas, but I do keep a master list of shots I'd like to take. I use to write them down on paper but started using google docs since I can add to it where ever I have internet access. For this particular shot, I actually drew it out before hand. Please don't laugh, I can't draw.

doo-kee-neee!

Finally, I think Kayla is sickness free, no cold, no cough, no runny nose, and THANK GOD, no stomach virus. That has got to be one of the worst bugs a kid can get. You never know when or where it’s going to be coming out from, and just when you think they are done, more comes out....ugh……. On the flip side, it seems like Kristin hasn’t gotten sick in ages. I guess that’s one of the benefits of starting her in pre-school early. It’s great to see Kayla eating like a pig again. One of the signs that a kid is fully recovered, is they start eating like there is no tomorrow. Meat, no problem. Veggies, no problem. Fruits, never a problem.
