It's been a while since we've taken the kids on a trip, so we headed to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The day started out pretty gloomy, but it ended up being beautiful and sunny. The kids had a blast looking at all the sea life, but they seemed to have the most fun in the children's play area.
It was so funny.....Every time this shark came around, Kayla would run away. She ran away at least 3 or 4 times before realizing that the shark couldn't get to her.
Of course the kids had to have a souvenir, so they both picked out a penguin, and of course they had to have the exact same penguin. I hope they are going to be able to tell them apart. We went to a nearby beach for some pictures before heading back home.
wow! great photos! amazing colors...
ReplyDeleteDang, so good. I love it. So you carry a beauty dish around with you everywhere huh? :)

ReplyDeleteJason,
ReplyDeleteDo you always take light stands when you go on these days trips, or is mom holding them?
Also, would like to know what white balance you use inside the aquarium?
thank,
woojong kim
Hi Woojong,
ReplyDeleteIt really depends on what I am planning on shooting. Sometimes I bring my lightweight stands and use my speedlites, but for this trip, I brought a heavy duty stand and strobe, along with speedlites.
As for the white balance, I usually just use auto-white balance and adjust in lightroom if needed. For the jellyfish shots, the WB was set to 7k.
Hope that helps.
Jason
Thanks,
ReplyDeleteI guess there really isn't such a thing as a good lazy photographer.
