Memorial Day
We started the day off with a visit to their favorite breakfast spot, Starbucks, where they each got chocolate milk and vanilla scones.
We then went to visit our construction site. So far, all they have done is lay the foundation. Framing is supposed to be started this week.
We then headed to the annual Art & Wind Festival where Kristin got her face painted for the first time.
She was pretty proud of herself, given the fact that she has always been scared of getting her face painted.
Kayla was just in observation mode, checking any and everything out:
She was super excited when she saw all the kites flying in the sky.
Towards the end of the festival, they had a 'candy drop', where a kite was flown in the sky and candy was dropped on the field from the kite. Poor Kayla, she was the last one on the field.
Kristin was kind enough to share some of her candy with Kayla though.

We like to hang out together
Sorry for the lack of posts/pictures, but we're finally settled down in our new apartment, sort of. We still have boxes and boxes of stuff that we have to sort through. This is a sad day, since we are officially handing over ownership of our home to its new owners. I feel a little guilty when Kristin says, “I miss our old house.” Kids don’t handle change very well.

When it rains...
it pours.
5/9 Started having a rash on her forehead and cheeks.
5/10 Had diarrhea and runny nose.
5/11 Still had her rash, not sure if its from the new sunblock we're using or if its heat rash.
5/12 Falls and hits the corner of bed post and has a huge bruise on her head.
Poor kid : (

jump around, jump around, jump up, jump up, and get down!
This is what happens when you remove the box spring and the bed frame and leave the matress laying on the ground.
