Falling Down

Well....Kayla is officially running, and stumbling, and falling. She doesn't cry when she falls which is a good thing. She beat Kristin by about 3 months.

Vitamin C

Walking

Kayla started walking on her own last week, and today she is able to walk about 15-20ft without assistance. With assistance, she's off and running.

She is seriously fascinated with this bird. Every time she sees it, she grunts and points to it.

Kayla loves stuffed animals, she can't resist kissing them. Now she has one on her to kiss all the time.

Milk in a box

Kristin loves drinking these. We go to Starbucks every Friday and she always gets one of these. Costco finally started stocking them, so I picked up a case.

Why do kids do this? Cover their mouth when they laugh or smile. It's so cute when Kristin does this, but she adds to it by licking her hands too...then trying to wipe her slobbery hands over you.

Red Lollipop

Kristin finished her first swimming session this past weekend. Her instructor gave out lollipops. I think Kristin liked getting the lollipop more than swimming, and you know how much she loves swimming.

Princess Kristin

Kristin loves pretending to be a princess. She has this birthmark on her right arm, and we tell her only princesses have those. She gets so bashful and excited at the same time when we tell her that.

When I picked up Kristin from school, she kept trying to find things that were orange and pointing them out to me. When she got home she kept trying to find more orange things. The result?

It's been a great week, spending some quality time with Kayla. Unfortunately (or fortunately) the Nanny will be back next week, and I'm back to work. It's so amazing and sad how time goes by so quickly.

Happy 4th of July

Kristin was so excited to go watch the fireworks this year. She asked about 4 or 5 times "When are we going to watch the fireworks, when are we going to watch the fireworks?!?!" Of course when the fireworks started, she got scared. Kayla handled them quite well. She was fascinated by the colors.
