I had a shoot in Southern CA yesterday, and brought the family along for a mini vacation. We spent today visiting Santa Monica, and enjoyed some nice sun, rides, cotton candy, swimming, and that wonderful Southern CA traffic.
First stop was Pacific Park, and of course the kids wanted to ride the ferris wheel. Kayla kept her hands on her hat the whole time, afraid it might blow away or something.
Then on to more rides.
And more.
So amazing how a simple park ride can provide such joy to a child.
What's even more amazing is that they finished a cotton candy in less than 15 seconds.
I swear, they were attacking that cotton candy like piranhas.
I think talking to each other was more fun than this ride was.
Bumper cars!
Tres cute!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love how you've captured the water.

It looks like you and your family had a great time. I hope the wedding shoot went well.
ReplyDeleteAAAW this blog is really cute!
ReplyDeleteJust a quick note from Washington state to say that I love following your posts. Your girls are cuties, and you do such a great job of capturing the joy of life. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOh y'all were in my neighborhood :) ♥ Looks like you had a blast!
ReplyDeleteHave the girls seen Ramona and Beezus yet? It's my favorite sissy movie. I demanded my two younger sisters watch it...and my boyfriend. lol.
If they haven't I recommend it. Good for sisters that have more fun talking on the ride then being on the ride ♥
The cotton candy sequence could pass off as a how-to on the proper way of eating cotton candy. So cute!
ReplyDeleteOmmgggg, Kristin's got abs!!! Gosh, my parents should have enrolled me in ballet classes when I was younger.
ReplyDeleteKristin's got abs! wow
ReplyDeleteHi Jason, love your work... Just a quick question though... did you shoot the pool pics with a flash in the hot shoe?
ReplyDeleteJoel
Tish, I'll have to check out the Ramona movie. Ramona the pest was one of my favorite books when I was young.
ReplyDeleteJoel, I used radio triggers, one hand holding a flash, and one hand holding a camera (praying that I didn't drop either of them into the pool)
Your pictures are good in low light. What cam and lens are you using? :)
ReplyDeleteOhh so cute!
