Kristin is a hoarder. Well both of them actually. They have a tendency to keep everything, from little things they pick up at school (think rocks, leaves, branches, etc) and never want to get rid of them. They end up on the floor, in drawers, and worst of all, in the washing machine. Kristin has had these balloons since her birthday in October of last year. How am I going to get rid of them without her noticing?

hahah, love this! my approach to getting rid of the unwanted stuff is getting rid of things one by one....slow and steady. :) beautiful girls! i just love your blog!
ReplyDeletehoarders are artists!
ReplyDeletethere is a girl in our art studio who creates amazing and beautiful installations out of things she had collected since she was very young!
: )
and many others collage things into their paintings.
LOL i can only laugh and imagine how you got your little girl's hair to stand up like that
ReplyDeleteYour eldest looks like a young lady already! So beautiful! Thank you for sharing these incredible moments you have with your daughter. It never fails to brighten up my day. :)

ReplyDeletewait, since Oct and they still have air in them?
ReplyDeleteI'm with Anonymous, I'm completely baffled that they're still that inflated!! Love your work and your girls are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLove all your photos of your cutest little girls! They make me so happy:)
ReplyDeletepop the balloons "accidentally"! when my sister was young, she insisted on watching home alone every night. so one night, my mom said the tape broke. my sis got over the sadness in 15 min! haha.
ReplyDeleteMy advice to try and stop the hoarding would be to give them each their own camera, and encourage them to take photos of things before they get rid of/dispose of them. There's no one better to teach them than you!
ReplyDeleteThanks for continuously sharing such wonderful photos of your family. :)
This is SO very cute!! My kids keep little stashes too - one likes to keep candy wrappers that still smell good, another has a collection of random rocks that she snuck into her pockets at school.
ReplyDeleteI looked at the comments just to see if anyone had an explanation for the balloons still being inflated :P or were they deflated but around since October, then "used" for the shot? But then a deflated balloon since October isn't that big of a deal ha ha. Cool shot though!
