We celebrated Kayla's birthday yesterday and took her to a farm where she could pick her own fruit. She was in absolute heaven. Ever since she was a baby, she's always been a semi-vegetarian, and enjoys eating fruits and vegetables way more than the 'normal' kid. Selina found a few farms, but only one was pesticide free, the Farmer's Daughter Produce in Brentwood, CA. You could literally pick and eat right off the trees. She had a blast.
After the farm, we headed to a new park that just opened near our house. They both spent most of the time on this weird spinning contraption.
After the park, we headed to Simply Fondue, where Kayla had a little too much fun with the chocolate.
She's such a goofball, just like her big sis.

ReplyDeleteThe absolute best peaches in Brentwood are on Payne Avenue (off of Walnut). I grew up in Brentwood and after I got married, I lived right across the street from the orchard. It's the Elberta variety of peaches and they have a very short season (usually at the end of August for 2 or 3 weeks.) The stand that sells them is the "Wolfe" family stand. They are so amazing! I come back every season and buy huge boxes of them and share with my Castro Valley in laws. Do not miss them!
