No, not the kids, well yeah, the kids too, but jeez, I feel so old now. Celebrated my birthday this past weekend and took the kids to Tahoe/Reno, and had some fun in the snow.
Always gorgeous, love the snow, hate the cold.
On the morning of my birthday, I see the kids over by the window, making hand prints on the hotel window and drawing things.
Sweetest birthday message ever.
We wanted the kids to learn how to ski this time around, so we took them to Mt. Rose for some ski lessons.
Still taking baby steps on the snow.
All geared up
It was hilarious watching them go up the automatic elevator thing to go down the slope, all crouched over.
I'd say they had a pretty good time.
You actually brought lighting gear while you went skiing? Haha!
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing!
ReplyDeletehappy belated birthday!
ReplyDeletelike always: great great pictures!
Wow, your photos are amazing. If I could get just ONE photo like any one of these, I would be ecstatic.
ReplyDeleteI need to learn to snowboard like they learned to ski lol.
ReplyDeleteThey make it look so easy. Hmph...
i love ALL the pix!!! and happy b-lated birthday!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday and thank you for sharing your photos!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! Consider getting them shorter skis next time (a bit lower than the chin); it's easier to maneuver them if they are shorter.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday!
Stunning photos, as always. :)
ReplyDeleteI found your photos on Flickr I think, and I have literally been scrolling through all of them and looking at old archives. Your work is FANTASTIC. Such whimsy and fun.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a wonderful birthday. Your girls are adorable!
Hi, I've been visiting periodically since David Hobby mentioned on his blog. These have awesome command of exposure, esp. against the sun, well done! Thanks for sharing, has been inspirational since pre-daughter, who is now 9 months.

Great pictures, again! Makes me want to make (even..) more pictures of our daughter (she's also from China)!
ReplyDeleteHow did you do the lighting? With one flash? Off-camera? Underexpose the background a bit?
Gr., Carool (The Netherlands)
Thanks all : )
ReplyDeleteHi Carool, yes, light was a small flash except for the last one.
I love all of these, but my faves are the bday window message shots. BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeleteKristin is becoming such a natural at posing for photographs!
