Harry Potter

Today we headed to Central Park and went on a horse carriage ride. I think Kayla asked me every 2 minutes, "did the horse poop, did the horse poop?"

We also headed to FAO Schwarz, but right next to it was THE apple store. I didn't get to go in, but it was pretty cool seeing the glass structure.

I think Kaylas dream came true when she walked down this aisle of dresses inside FAO.

The absolute BEST part of the day, was going to the Mary Poppins Broadway show. Vanessa and Justin purchased tickets for us, and I think we got some of the best seats in the house. Towards the end, Mary Poppins flew right above us. Pretty awesome. During the intermission, Kayla kept asking, "Where did Harry Potter go?!?!"

We also went to the Toysrus store in Times Square. They have a Ferris wheel INSIDE the store!

I really wanted to buy this lego set.

We also went to the M&M store.

  4. How sweet and what beautiful pictures! I am middle aged and have never seen Mary Poppins but have seen Harry Potter since I grew up in another country. My lack of pop culture reference puts me on par with today's kids...LOL.

  6. What lens did you use for all these photos? It has such shallow DOF.

  9. hahaha i always love kayla's comments. just curious -- how did you manage to take such great shots of the broadway show? don't they usually forbid cameras in shows like those? (i can usually sneak a quick cell phone picture, but that's about it.)

  10. Thanks Tamara, it was a fun trip.

Diane, I used the live view/quiet shutter function of my camera, so it wasn't making any sound during the performance.

Anywho - I think my 5 year old might of just LOST HER MARBLES if she saw that dress isle - sheezlouise.

The show you went to, wow, it looks so detailed and beautiful. And the apple glass thingy looks like a SHRINE.
