Kristin celebrated her birthday today, but her actual birthday is on 10/4. I can't believe she is turning 4 already. It seemed like just a short while ago, Kristin was as small as Kayla, and so dependant on us. Now, she's like a little lady, with attitude and all.

They Went That-A-Way

Argh, Kayla was so moody today. She didn't take her afternoon nap so she was cranky ALL evening. I think she's getting to that stage where all she wants to do is play play play.

Kayla has discovered honeydew, and she loves it! Fruits and veggies, that's all she really likes to eat.

Kayla is getting worse and worse each day. She used to be so easy to feed, now she wants to grab the spoon and play, turn her head away, or just keep her mouth shut tight. The good news is that she still likes her fruits and vegetables.

Magic!

I remember about a year ago, I would play these tricks on Kristin, like pulling snacks/toys out from behind her ear. She would have this look of amazement on her face. I haven't tried it in a while, but I told her I could make her legs disappear. She doubted me until she saw the picture.

Mosquitos

I haven't taken a picture of Kristin for a while. She had a bug bite on her right eyelid and it was swollen up like someone punched her. When a teacher at school asked her what happened, she said "My sister hit me!" There was a reason why we bought this shirt for her...................

Polka dot

Kayka kept pointing to this dress that was hanging in Kristin's closet. "Unh, unh, unnnhhh!!!" After she put it on, she had this little smirk on her face.

Princess

Ummm, not really. You wouldn't believe how mean Kayla can be. She is always pushing and pinching Kristin for no reason other than to just be dominant. When she is holding something and Kristin tries to take it from her, she holds on really tight and manages to keep a grip on it. She's gonna bully Kristin, I can just see it.

Oh bee-have!

Kayla is more attached to Selina than she is to me. She still sleeps next to us in an open faced crib, and during the night she manages to crawl into our bad. Last night, Selina asked if I could sleep next to Kayla so she could get a good nights sleep. Well, at about 1 or 2 AM, Kayla wakes up and starts crying hysterically. No matter what I did, I couldn't calm her down. I gave up and told Selina to give it a try. As soon as we switched places, Kayla immediately went back to sleep : /

New cap

Kayla got a new hat....just in time too since the weather has been cooling down a bit.

I felt so bad today : ( I think we set our expectations too high for Kristin and when she can't (or doesn't want to) meet them we get so frustrated. I won't go into details, but we spent from the time I got home till the time she slept trying to get her to write her alphabets. And no matter what, she just wouldn't do them. I need to take some parenting classes.

Four of a kind

Kristin turns 4 in less than a month. Time goes by so fast.......Before I know it, she'll be asking for car keys. Tonight, when I kissed her good night, she said, "Daddy, can you buy me some dresses?" She's gonna be trouble.

Troll

I think she'd be better off as a troll for Halloween. She's got the hair part down.

Bubbles

I never knew how much Kayla loved bubbles until today. She always had a fascination with balloons, but she loves bubbles so much, she's starting to say 'buh-bow, buh-bow'.

Cinderella

Kristin had a great weekend. First, she had a blast at the CDM yesterday, AND she got 2 new pairs of shoes. Then today, Selina decided to get her this dress for her Halloween costume. Kristin was sooooo happy.

CDM

We took the kids to the Children's Discovery Museum today. They had a special Clifford exhibit which the kids absolutely loved.



Kayla enjoyed sitting in this fire truck compartment. Every time she banged her feet she would giggle uncontrollably.













When K&K started playing in the water area, Kayla would not let go of this ball. She just kept holding on to it, observing what the other kids were doing.

Kiss Kiss

Kayla loves kissing stuffed animals. It's so funny, you put one in front of her and she lunges forward to kiss it.
